12 Month Vehicle Return Policy
Harvard Auto is the ONLY used car dealer in the area qualified to be able to offer a complimentary 12-Month Vehicle Return Policy to anyone who chooses to arrange financing or leasing through Harvard Auto Sales.
Harvard Auto pays money every year to help our customers return their vehicles, while our customers are able to protect their credit and are able to walk away from their debt obligation.
The program provides up to $7,500 of coverage for early termination shortfalls for the following circumstances:
- Involuntary job loss (permanent release from your full-time occupation)*
- Physical disability – unable to work (unable to perform the duties of your own full-time occupation for a period of 60 days)
- Loss of drivers’ license (due to age, illness or injury)
- Bankruptcy of the self-employed (your sole income is derived from being self-employed)
- Critical illness – living benefit (9 major illnesses are covered including cancer, heart attack, stroke and Alzheimer’s)
- Death due to critical illness (surviving family member or executor can make an estate claim and return the vehicle)
- International job transfer (permanent transfer outside Canada by your employer or a division of)
Other program features and benefits:
- Covers previous loan or lease deficiencies up to the policy limits
- No limit on amount financed
- Applies to new and pre-owned vehicles, leased or financed
- Open to all ages
- No pre-existing health exclusions
- No medical examinations or health questions
- Debt re-structuring available for critical illness estate claims – an immediate family member can keep the vehicle and a portion of your benefit is applied to your loan or lease balance to reduce the balance
